A bit of dark humor never hurt anyone. I wanted to extend my gratitude for the response to my last posting. My mother said she has stopped praying I remain single forever (though still not supportive). A good friend gifted me a year long membership on an online dating site. And many more extended their sympathy and support. I still have no idea where I'll meet my future husband and, as one friend put it, I have a 10 year lag on straight people from societal issues like outright bigotry, lack of role models in media and little things like nor learning to date back in high school. BUT, it's good to know I have a supportive community whether I stay a bachelor, for now, for years, forever or for not very long at all.
And it's been sunny in Seattle, always a good thing for raising spirits.
