Here is a great map I found showing our emissions per state and the equiviland in another country. So, the United States emissions are equal to that of France, Philippines, Belgium, Czeck Republic, Austria, Lebanon, Argentina, Poland, Turkey, New Zealand, Panama, Algeria, Ivory Coast, Estonia, Oman, Singapore, Venezuela, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Israel, Taiwan, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Egypt, Greece, Thailand, Pakistan, Chile, Peru, Slovakia, Croatia, Romania, Sweden, Bosnia, Switzerland, Morocco, Vietnam, Cuba, Columbia, North Korea, Jordan, Iraq, Ireland, Norway, Mexico, Nigeria, Finland, Serbia and Equador ....combined.
For perspective:
My favorite country Sweden is over 9 Million people. Its US comparable is North Dakota with 0.6 Million people. North Dakota has 15x more emissions per person.
What about the comparison between "green" Washington and "evil" Iraq? We are under 6.5 Million people. Iraq is somewhere near 27.5 Million people. 4.25x more emissions per person. Still not great considering they are an oil producer and we are hydro generating.
Ideas to fix?
