Lego's are 50

I grew up building with chunky, primary colored blocks that in the abstracted simplicity of their style, became exploratory missions into building. I owe a great deal to Ole Kirk Christiansen who started the Lego Group. It is now 50 years old. I've been playing with them for nearly 3 decades and hopefully I'll keep playing with them many more.

The name 'LEGO' is an abbreviation of the two Danish words "leg godt", meaning "play well". It is my form of zen, relaxation, decadent solitude. Above is a recent creation.

Very cool! First of all, it's nice to know people my age who still play with Legos and you come up with cool things... :-)
